Corporol Punishment

Dear hackers/creaters of rogue anitvirus programs/"Personal Antivirus"-
Yesterday I came home to discover my pc under attack. You showed me a solution to fix my problems and made everything look so safe. I almost fell completely for it until you asked for my money too. I can't believe you wanted me to pay to have you ruin my life. You have cost me time...precious time, money, and tears.....none of which was I really willing to give to you. I also feel nieve, vilolated and completely untrusting.
I'm generally a non-political person so I've kind of been sitt'n the fence on corporal punishment but after yesterday I've decided I'm am definately for it if only it included people like you.
Why don't you do something more meaningful with your life. You could go to Mexico, I hear they have a virus goin' around, since you seem so interested in them.

As luck would have it...

Last Thursday Daniel and I went to Dave N' Busters with some friends. Somehow Daniel and I both won big playing "Deal or No Deal" and I won a 500 ticket jackpot spinning a giant wheel. Basically we couldn't even hold all our tickets so we had to wear them as scarves...wish i had a pic:) Our grand total was over 1600 tickets and we got both our $10 game cards for free. But apparently we used all our luck on thursday. Saturday we took the kiddos fishin' (the activity at the end of our fishing week at "school"). We didn't catch a single thing, although perhaps this was lucky too since we didn't have a fishing license anyhow (shhhh). We drowned our sorrows with some frozen custard and headed home. When we got home I made a "race track" for kolby and ellie to play with. I used an entire $1 bucket of chalk. It started raining about 15 minutes later. Oh well, a billion tickets are way better than a stinky fish or a chalky driveway:)

Kolby Convos

Kolby keeps saying the most "spiritual" things and I don't want to forget them.
*
(After I turn down the primary music CD)
Kolby: "Mommy, don't turn off the Holy Ghost!"
*
(After I show Kolby a picture of the crucifixion)
Kolby: "We learned about that in primary. That's the sacrifice. Those people made bad choices and Jesus is hurt on those two sticks. We should help him. Let's ask Daddy".
*
Kolby: "Mommy, are you going to the temple to see Jesus?" Me: "No, I probably won't see Him, but it is His house" (way to confuse him even more) K: "No you will see Him and He will show you His owwees on His hands" M: "That would be neat but I think I'll just feel the Holy Ghost" K: "The Holy is Ghost is scary" M: "No the Holy Ghost is a good ghost, he makes us feel good inside" K: "Nope he's scary, but he helps us find our dogs" (we don't even have a dog...)
Then he walks around with a blanket on his head saying "I'm the Holy Ghost ooooooh"

Milkshake Your Booty

I actually had a lip gloss in jr. high called "milkshake your booty". Why on earth I wanted my lips to look like a shimmering milkshake I have no idea....
This is my new obsession lately. That's right I'm drinking a milkshake every morning to get rid of my booty. ok not really. its not a weight loss thing its just loaded with vitamins which supposedly other people get by eating more than one fruit/veggie a day. weird.
It's a chocolate shake plus I add a heaping spoon of pb, a banana, 1 cup ice, 1 cup water or milk. How can you go wrong with chocolate + peanut butter for breakfast? Thanks mom, for introducing this baby to me. Speaking of babies...
Despite my new determination to workout more faithfully and my yummy shake I still got asked today if I was expecting my 3rd. Dang it! Just so you all can avoid insulting me on accident....this pooch is not filled with a baby just pure chocolate and peanut butter. I wonder if there's a "Milkshake your Belly" lip gloss out now?

I hereby apologize for my billions of pics lately I promise to cut back. Its just that if I
don't blog it, it won't automatically be slurpped in to my blurb book and then they will just be like the rest of my pics....forever lost in the "My Pictures" folder. Thanks for enduring. What do you all do with all your pics you take??? And don't tell me you print them all off and then scrapbook them because i might have to cry.

Easter Festivities

When it comes to obsessions I think I may have passed on my tendencies to over do things We have been reading Peter Cottontail's Busy Day for a few months now at least twice a day (kolby insists). We watch the movie, sing the song...and with it being the week before Easter and all... of course I encouraged as many Peter Cottontail things as possible. We started off the week with a super fun playgroup egg hunt. Olivia chose to eat them as she found them.
Then we baked some bunny cookies for the neighbors.
Friday morning Daniel fixed up some Peter Cottontail pancakes.
And Saturday we went to a huge egg hunt/carnival here in the neighborhood.
Despite my kids apparent obsession this year's Easter Bunny pic is no suprise. Kolby wouldn't even get in the pic and Olivia buried her head on my shoulder. I'm not sure why I find this so entertaining:) We had a great time but I gotta admit I'm ready to say goodbye to Mr. Peter Cottontail until next year!
Happy Easter Y'all!

Iron-In-laws

My crazy in-laws have done it again. 3 of Daniel's sisters (sprint and quarter), 1 of his brothers (half), and his dad (half) all participated in triathalons this past weekend in Galveston.
Daniel sat out this one as his job seems to be taking too much of his training time. I think it was hard for him to watch. We used to have this amazing photo of Daniel and his dad at one of Daniel's H.S. meets. Daniel is about ready to pass out and his dad is holding him up. I get all teary-eyed everytime I see it. Now its hanging in his classroom. Anyhow, this weekend I got to see the reverse. Daniel ran along his dad and encouraged him the last 5 miles or so. I wish I would have got a shot of them together. Daniel was out of town this weekend so we didn't know if we could make it to Galveston on Sunday but Daniel said, "You know my dad never missed any of my races." It was so touching to watch things flipped now.
Of course I think the idea of swimming 1.2 miles, biking 56 miles, then running 13 miles is just plain crazy but I suppose it's an admiral crazy! I'm so proud of my "Iron In-Laws"!

Saturday Conference

So I read the Ensign. I had FHE the monday before conference to prepare my children for conference. I made the cinnamon rolls (ok i put the pillbury rolls in the oven, daniel was out of town so you didn't really think that i would attempt to make his amazing homemade rolls!). I had the treats to hand out when key words were recognized. I printed off activity packets. It worked, for kolby at least:) He woke up early, got himself dressed and said he was ready to see the Prophet on the computer. He tried explaining this to my neighbor but of course being the awesome missionary that I am I totally pretended that I had no idea what he was saying:) Olivia spent some part of conference in time out, in the hall way so we could hear over the screaming. And she entertained herself with laundry and discovered a new napping place. My favorite was when kolby picked up on words like sacrafice, baptism, priesthood, and Jesus. He was also concerned and asked "Why is Eyring sad?" I'm excited that every year seems to get better and better watching conference with the kids. Sunday was spent supporting Daniel's dad, brother, and 3 sisters competing in and Ironman which deserves a post all on its own. So perhaps we will try this set up once again next week for FHE to catch the Sunday session.

Princess Olivia, and the teddy grahms that made these pics possible, and the shoes that mommy adores, ah yes and of course a little prince charming in the making as well:)
Perhaps I've let him watch Cinderella too many times:)
