Happy Birthday R.S.

My former spanish teacher made this cake! She's basically amazing! She has her own business and creates masterpieces like this on a weekly basis. Even the picture of Emma was edible. Although it seemed a shame to cut up something so beautiful. I absolutely love Relief Society, even though I seem to always be in primary or YWs. I feel so greatful to be part of such an organization! Happy Birthday:)

The Cold Hard Truth

I just read my old roomie's post on being imperfect. Too add to her cause: to get people to stop being depressed after reading people's rose-colored blogs, I will provide my very own list, as if these imperfections weren't obvious already... *I have mold growing in my shower, I'm horrible at cleaning and basically can never seem to get the whole house clean all at once. * I'd rather keep buying new shower curtain liners than have to keep scrubbing them. *I haven't cooked a single meal this week, unless you count Top Roman or waffles *Sometimes I wish I could go to work *I pay for a gym membership but haven't been there for 3 weeks *I worry what other people think about me...all the time *I hold grudges * I taught kolby to push olivia back *I hardly ever answer my phone * It took me 3 hours this morning to fold my laundry, ya that's how much I've put it off, I still have to put it all away. Now that you all feel better about yourselves I feel the need to end my list before I feel too bad about my self:) Stop comparing yourself to other people's blog lives. Things aren't always perfect but it ok to document the things you love about your life...as well as the things you despise:)

Our Fab-o-licious Saturday

Saturday morning we headed out for a trip to the museum, mall, and track meet.
Warning: all of the previous activites are photographed....thus the million pics to follow.
A whole bag of dino-chicken nuggets and 2 weeks worth of Land Before Time (seriously what were they thinking...VII?) we finally had our culminating activity. The museum was so fun! Rosie and Cherly were husbandless as well so we made a day of it. It was nice and small so i didn't worry about losing my children and it was totally hands on (except for the dumb gift shop...really who puts so many breakable things at a 1 yr old's level??) It was so fun to end our dino-week with a real dinosaur exhibit and a much better excavation site than our backyard. After the museum we had lunch then rode the carousel and then headed over to daniel's track meet.
The kiddos love seeing the bus that daniel gets to drive and for some really strange reason i think my hubby looks really hot at track meets. It could be just because i haven't seen him for awhile but my fav pics of him are usually at his meets:) Or maybe its just nice to see him doing what he loves best and having him so excited to see us there and be a part of it. Of course it could just be part of the coach's wife syndrome.
The kids slept the whole ride home, we ate dinner, took baths, and just so Olivia didn't think the whole day was all about kolby... we borrowed Cinderella from our neighbor. It was refreshing to get out of the house and have an outing that didn't involve Target or the grocery store. Unfortunately I had food poisoning at about 1am-8am but since technically that was Sunday it was still a "fab-o-licious" Saturday and a Sunday from...

Perhaps we've been watching too much Idol?

Who knew Kolby was a rock star in the making? and olivia as a backup/groupie:) I missed the beginning when he said, "Ladies and gentlemen...boys and girls...." This just makes me giggle. I apologize for all the shaking...i can only film stuff like this when I'm pretending not to be filming, thus the "creative" cinematogrophy :)

Playing Paleontologists

ok I don't even know how to spell that word....not sure i'm qualified to teach this to my children. Last Monday, (post yuckiness) the kids and I kicked off our dinosaur week with a Dino-dig. I just gave them spoons and they went to town. Kolby found a piece of an old board and pretended that that was his big bone he discovered. I love this new imaginative play stage that the kids are in together. Although I'm sure anything reguarding dirt would have been just fine with miss olivia!
Don't know why blogger won't let me post this pic horizontal...
Check out this huge bone!
Here Kolby is explaining to me how to dig for dinosuars...

Ode to Bleach

Bleach how i love thee I love your aggressiveness, and how your whole purpose is to kill kill kill. I love that you give me peace of mind, knowing that what ever nasty bodily fluids used to exist in my home are now yet another victim and will continue to be so. Thank you for disinfecting my floors after both my children attempted to spread their germs all over my world. Thank you for being right there with me to scrub the regurgitated pork off my tub. Thank you for preparing sparkling clean toilets for me to hold my hair back and vomit in, should the time come. If only your smell didn't burn my nose hairs and linger on my hands when i'm trying to sleep. Perhaps you and "very sexy" should get together sometime. Because really is there anything sexier that being a ruthless germ murderer? I think not.
