Yesterday was the district meet.

Daniel's team took a disappointing 2nd after getting 1st the past 7 years.

I sure am gonna miss the seniors. They're the only girls i really know bc they were freshman Daniel's first year. My how the time flies!

Midnight Sigh

just finished a midnight feeding

Naomi let out a little sigh

A sigh of perfect contentment

This is precisely how i feel tonight

I feel blessed

Blessed to have all my babies happy and healthy

Blessed to have a hubby who loves me

Blessed to have family and friends that support me

After 5 days of worry and sleepless nights

Tonight i will finally rest

Bi-Cycle, Bi-cycle

I want to ride my bicycle I want to ride my bike...

can't help it. Queen is catchy.

A few weeks ago Kolby's training wheel just fell off. We figured it was a good time to teach him to ride a 2 wheeler. My timid, careful boy was riding without help after 1 day. I'm pretty sure it took me weeks...i did mention how my kid is a genius though right?!

We're still in shock that he picked up on it so fast and never got scared and never cried. Its a miracle:)

Dang those brains!

Last Saturday we went to another pumpkin patch with Rosie and the girls

(even though Holly organized it she couldn't make it sniff sniff)

After watching the longest pig race of my life...we hopped on a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. No strollers were allowed. This fact must be clear or none of the following will make since.

Here's how it went down:

With a 15lb baby in one arm and a 15 lb diaper bag in the other, I told my kiddos that they could only choose a pumpkin small enough to carry all by themselves through the field. After a few attempts and a few "ahhh my back!" s Olivia and the girls gave up and decided to buy a pumpkin at the grocery store with a shopping cart. Not Kolby though... Nope not those dang brains of his! He sticks his finger in the air like a lightbulb just went on in the middle of the pumpkin patch and decides to roll his ginormous pumpkin all the way back! It took forever but he was determined.

yes, i was outsmarted by my 5 year old (again).

He worked up a thirst and that night we all went to bed at 7:30.

Preschool, Pumpkins and Persimmons

Had a mini preschool field trip to a mini pumpkin patch/persimmon orchard last friday.

What you don't know what a persimmon is?

Haha niether did I. They look like a tomato/pear/orange/apple. And now you know. heehee. Who knew preschool fieldtrips were so educational? :)

The World Became a Better Place

I celebrated my birthday by going to playgroup, playing with my new i-touch, having Daniel cook dinner for me, and hosting a piano Halloween recital. Not feeln too old if i still like to play dress-up:)

Biting the Big One

Daniel is officially 30 today!

and just to prove that one year older is NOT one year Wiser... I organized a suprize guys night out to Buffalo Wild Wings where they took on the "Blaz'n Challange" t-shirt says... 12 wings 6 minutes...its like walking on hot coals-except you eat 'em Daniel and Daniel E. succeeded, Mark ate 4 and Tom (the wisest) was the "sober" clean-fingered photographer for me.

Boys are Stupid

Where do they come up with this stuff?

Just had this conversation with my kiddos:

Me (to Naomi): Why don't you like it when Auntie Rosie holds you? Crazy baby everyone loves auntie rosie!

Kolby: maybe she's afraid she'll try to take her

Me: take her where?

Olivia: take her to prison

Me: Do you even know what prision is?

Olivia: no. I mean yes. its jail. for bad people.

Kolby: ya like the Lamanites could go to prison if they don't repent

Me: (laughing throughout)

Its days like this I'm glad I actually listen to my kids instead of my usual ya, ya, uhhuh response:)

One thing is certain...she does not like having 6 soon to be 8 teeth and neither does mommy

Free pony rides, face painting, lunch, snacks, pumpkins, crafts, balloons, teddy bears, bouncy rides, fire truck tours, petting zoo....ya it was awesome!
