starting to feel amish
For lack of a better word this past few weeks i was starting to feel "amish". From no cable (ok that wasn't new but i just need to be dramatic),to no cell phone, to no internet, to no DVD player i felt a complete void in my life:)
I had to revert to such things as phone books (ugh!), hand mailing letters and bills, and actually playing wih my children instead of letting my life be overcome by technology:)
I now have a cell and the internet so all is back in order. i'll admitt i'm tempted to spend hours and hours catching up on everyone's blogs but alas my toddler wants me to play trains with him. I'm going out of town tomorrow all on my own to play with some crazy girls in Utah so I have to soak up my last hours of motherly duties :)
I promise to be better at posting and commenting upon my return.

This is actually a fun one i promise!
Okay this little post has been going around and I love the concept so here it goes...1
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.
If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments
back from the dead
I roughed it last week without internet or a cell phone (i hate leaky sippy cups!) I'm such a nerd for saying this but seriously i felt completely cut off from the world. i bought a new cell and the internet thing might be back and forth until we get things situated with our phone company.
so in case any of you thought i died or perhaps you just thought i hated you and was never going to speak to you again...i'm back and i don't hate you for now).

I'm a big kid now
i know i know, the video need to be flipped. Try not to get sick...
The biggest news of all is that olivia learned to walk. Just shy of 14 months she decided to take her first steps at my parents house. Its so fun to see her wobble around the house. I'm loving this stage with Olivia. She's walking and talking. My favorite expression of hers is "uh-oh". She's also become quite the flirt and likes to blow kisses to everyone.
Just so Kolby doesn't feel left out, he's also growing up way too fast. The other night we were saying prayers together and he said He was thankful for Jesus, and His life. I was shocked sense i've never said that to him and suddenly i felt like he was such a big boy.
Happy Birthday America
I know this post is late but I didn't want to overwhelm everyone with all the pics from Seattle too. Kolby loved throwing snaps and watching amateur fireworks from far away but when the big professional show started right before our eyes both my kiddos were....babies! I love fireworks! They must get the wimpiness from their daddy:)

"I wanna go 'see' attle!" -kolby
I realize pride is generally looked down upon but I've gotta say that Seattle is really the coolest place in the world and I am proud to say I'm from there! To all those who like to say "Seattle just rains all the time", I'd like to (first stick out my tongue at you) and then invite you to view the following...
We had a blast on our trip! We were able to see and do everthing I had on my list.
Mt Rainier from the plane
Mt. Rainier from the ground
Kirkland Waterfront
Snoqualmie Falls
Ferry ride to Bainbridge Island
Pike Place Market
Downtown just wouldn't be the same without the crazy guitar man:)
hiking...
Beating Daniel at Putt-putt:)
Leavenworth
Franklin Falls
and some relax time too:)
500 pictures later and 10lbs heavier we arrived home on sat night. Now more than ever I am homesick and sad that this was probably the last time to "go home".
