B-b-b-b Bad to the Bone

Yes it's official my men have proven that deep down they're white trash:) Two Saturdays ago Daniel took Kolby to see Monster Trucks. Although the picture looks like Kolby's scared out of his pants, Daniel says Kolby was completely thrilled. He clapped and cheered with the rest of them. Now, almost two weeks later I still get to hear everyday how "Kolby and Dad had fun" "Monster trucks were loud" His new favorite toy is of course a monster truck (much thanks to dave and ale's foresight with the b-day present) and he can often be found singing "B-b-b-b Bad to the bone!" Although I let Kolby play with a few baby dolls and girlie toys with his cousins here and there, obviously he's all boy through and through.

A few moments of joy

I realize I may vent to an awful lot of you about... "how many times do I have to clean up poop?" or "Olivia's being so fussy" or "I have the worst headache..." so to counteract all my murmuring here's a few brighter moments. Favorite moments of joy from my past week.... Saturday- playing tether ball and t-shirt weather in January Sunday- a big fat family nap Monday- Eating an entire buttermilk chocolate cake (In the words of gma woodlief, "it was divine") Tuesday- going to a kick butt class at the gym and coming home to dinner on the table and bread in the oven Wednesday- hearing kolby say his first prayer....oh so cute! Thursday- hearing kolby say his second prayer...."thankyou [for the] oatmeal" Friday- being prompted to check on olivia, and stopped her from choking on a small object Saturday- having my house professionally deep cleaned, many thanks to my mom-in-law

Resolution Solution?

Whew....now that I've spent my kids'whole naptime reading all ya'lls blogs (hee hee yes I said all ya'lls...only in Texas). I'm in need of a few good New Year's resolutions. I know I know, you're thinking "sabrina, you can't steal other people's resolutions." I just can't think of a really good one. Of course I have tons of things to work on, let's be honest but I need something different than the usual read my scriptures... exercise...get caught up on scrapbooks stuff. I know ya'll have good ideas, please share! But if you're doing something really amazing like running a marathon or writing a book, or winning a nobel peace prize please keep it to yourself. Let's be realistic, its me we're talking about here.

Christmas, Reunion, New Year's and a Marathon

Here's a few disorganized pics of our disorganized holidays:) Don't know what's wrong with blogger but I can't see the pics so a quick explanation= yes it was cold in Texas for Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas and Lawton family reunion. Daniel took first place in his first marathon on Jan 1st, what a way to start of the new year eh?
